Critical to the ballistic protection of personnel, infrastructure and assets is the performance of composite products. Composites provide the ideal means of offering protection from impacts at weights that are not inhibitive. Essentially ballistic performance of composites is a combination of the energy absorption and high strength properties of the specialty fibres used such as aramid and s-glass as well as the resins systems that bind the fibres together.
